"New drug development researchers gather in KSNS, Have a good time for communication and Information Exchange"
Founded in 2004, the Korean Society Nonclinical Study (KSNS) had started a professional organization of researchers and scientists from industry who practice nonclinical study in the Korea. Currently KSNS has more than 3,800 members, approximately 80 expert members and 4 divisions (Toxicology division, Pharmacokineic division, Medicinal pharmacology division, and Medicinal Chemistry division). Last year, we had started to provided 3 times national-wide drug development and GLP education courses with MFDS.
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of new drug development and the importance of Pharma/Biotech industry. Korea government and pharma/biotech industry plan to enhance its preparedness, with long-term investments in research projects and training of professionals in the fields of medical science.
Even though Korea pharmaceutical industry have been grown rapidly during the past 30 years, still the size of investment and members are smaller than that of one of biggest Pharma. We have still lots of works to improve new drug R&D environment, and prepare new drug R&D ecosystem in Korea.
This year the 10th committee had organized and have started their activities for 2 years. We are try to provide good communication and exchange the latest information among young/old, small and medium size companies/large companies and sponsors and CROs in Korea.
